PETRATEX TRAINING PROGRAM
One of Petratex's main objectives is to support and promote specialized training in the field of the textile industry through a set of diversified and specific training programmes.

That is why we invest in the ongoing training of our employees, encouraging the development of skills, creativity, and critical thinking.
We also maintain partnerships with Portuguese schools and universities, integrating students from fields related to the textile industry and providing them with practical experience and learning opportunities.
PETRATEX: A LAUNCH RAMP FOR EMPLOYMENT
PETRATEX was founded in 1989.
Its long implementation in the market has allowed it to acquire a leading position in the world of textile manufacturing, but also to create a strong identity as a center of knowledge and training, fostering an innovative educational dimension in the industry. In partnership with MODATEX and the Penafiel Employment Center, PETRATEX defines itself, once again, as an innovative player, through the creation of a project in the field of training oriented towards the Textile Industry.
The aim of this project was to give young people the opportunity to be part of an integrated training strategy and acquire a set of skills aligned with the needs of the market and the company, which will facilitate their integration into the job market.
The course used the modular training method, with a total of 695 hours of training, divided into three different modules. Since it was taught in-house and included various learning tools that could be used by the trainees, the course gave them the chance to experience closer interaction with other Petratex workers and managers.

MODELING TRAINING PROGRAM
In the haute couture and ready-to-wear industry, it is the pattern maker who brings the piece imagined by the Designer to life.
Committed to continuous learning, PETRATEX made available a Pattern Making training program that took place at our own facilities.

Under the supervision of professional trainers from GUDI FASHION SCHOOL, 12 students took part in this training program, which ran for a period of one year.
